Seams

The seams are visibly minimal. Some stones make the seams almost invisible. While other stones the seams are more visible. The settlement of a new house or new cabinet installation can cause a seam on a countertop or backsplash to become misaligned, loosen the seam adhesives, and create small chips at joined edges. This settlement is not considered a defect, as Dushi Marble and Granite, LLC can neither predict nor control it. We will repair these areas at no charge within a one year period. In cases of extreme and excessive settlement problems on floors and cabinets, we will attempt to repair the problem if possible. Therefore, there will be a charge for this service.

Fill

Slabs of stone that are received at our fabrication shop may contain sections of fill where a natural pit or chip has occurred and has been filled with a color matched epoxy by the stone supplier. On rare occasions, this fill can loosen and fall out. We’ll repair these fill areas to the best of our ability, at no charge within the 1 year warranty period.

Sinks

Under mount sinks installed by Dushi Marble and Granite, LLC are covered from detachment, slippage or movement.

Stains

Because of the porous nature of natural stone we cannot warranty against staining. We apply one coat of sealer to all countertops after fabrication to maximize the stain protection of the stone it is suggested that the customer apply sealer once a year. Stone is a natural material, and, as such, variations in color, flatness, thickness, graining, and composition are natural characteristics, which cannot be voided. During fabrication, we make every effort to reinforce these materials to give them additional strength, durability, and stain resistance. DMG is not responsible for any damage done to stone, seals, or seams by other tradesmen working on or around stone after the installation. Clients should advise any and all outside around workers in the area of our stone installation that any misuse that could cause any type of damage will void our warranty.
